Located upstream of the filter, it reduces the incandescent particles which could damage the filter sleeves.

It works on the basis of the centrifugal acceleration of the flow.

The heavier dust remains adherent to the periphery of the flow, settles against the walls of the cyclone and is collected in a special hopper.

 

Compared to the vertical cyclone, it allows larger flows and less pressure drops.

 

The powders collected at the hopper are evacuated by means of a rotary cell or a clapet valve.
